Decorated Wooden Chest
Great way to store keepsakes!
When the postcards and other treasured keepsakes started piling up, I decided to purchase a plain wooden chest from my local craft store for my daughter to store it all in. To personalize it we grabbed a stack of leftover scrapbook paper, stickers, and sifted through old leftover paint cans in the garage. The result is a super cute and hip conversation piece for a soon to be tween's room.
How to:
Choose your paint color or stain. Cover with at least 2 coats and let dry.
Decide on your layout. We chose to create a border showcasing her name and favorite stickers on the front and covered the top panels with different strips of scrap paper.
Decoupage paper onto chest.
